Officer Pilots 500 Hour Tie
Need assistance? military@gievesandhawkes.com
100% silk Royal Air Force Officer Pilots’ Tie Club tie. Made in the UK.
The Club was formed in 1937 for the purpose of providing Officer Pilots with a tie of their own and by the end of 1938, 650 Officer Pilots were wearing the tie. Membership is restricted to past and present Officer Pilots who have either completed 500 hours flying or who have taken part in active service flying operations.
A minimum of 10% for every tie sold is levied for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
We at Gieves and Hawkes keep an ongoing, written ledger of customers who have bought the tie and we are in the process of digitising this log. Many distinguished pilots are mentioned, Sir Keith Park, Ray Hanna, Guy Gibson and Hugh 'Cocky' Dundas among them.
We ask that you provide proof, in the form of your flight logbook, for your eligibility to purchase this tie.
