RETURNS INFORMATION 

 

RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY

At Gieves & Hawkes, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason, you’re not happy, here’s what you need to know about returns and exchanges.

We’ve simplified international returns for orders placed on or after 28th January 11am GMT. These can be arranged via our self-service Global-E returns portal, removing the need to organise your own carrier. Link to Portal [Returns Portal]

Please note that when opting to use our returns service a handling fee will be deducted from your refund.

For all other returns, including orders placed before 28th January 11am GMT, our traditional process via the UK warehouse still applies. For any questions, contact: customerservices@gievesandhawkes.com (or military@gievesandhawkes.com for military orders).

 

1. Right to Return

  • Full-Price Items: Can be returned within 28 days of purchase. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, with all labels and garment tags attached. Unsellable items will be returned to the customer, and no refund will be issued. This does not affect your right to return faulty goods.
  • Sale Items: Can be returned within 14 days of purchase under the same conditions as full-price items.

 

2. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. To exchange an item for a different size, colour, or style, please return the original item and place a new order.

 

3. Returning an Item:

    • Orders placed on or after 28th January 11am GMT (International): Use the Returns Portal. A handling fee applies for returns using the provided label and will be deducted from your refund.
    • Orders placed before 28th January 11am GMT / UK Returns: Send your return to our UK warehouse.
    • Contact Customer Services if you need guidance.

Return Conditions: All items must be unused, in their original packaging (including suit bags and hanger), and with all labels and tags attached. Items returned in an unsellable condition will be returned to the customer without a refund.

 

4. Return Shipping when using your own courier

If you choose to return items using your own courier, it is your responsibility to pay for all carriage and costs incurred. We recommend using a delivery service that ensures the full value of the items, as Gieves & Hawkes cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit without proof of delivery.

 

5. Refunds

Refunds will only cover the value of the returned goods. Shipping costs are only refunded if previously agreed by Customer Services. Refunds are processed to the original payment card, typically within 5 days of receiving the return (during non-sale periods).

 

6. Exceptions

Personalized/Custom Items or Alterations: Cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. This includes tailored items altered at your request. This also includes any alterations made after order has been placed, requested by customers.
